"Kurt Thought Patterns - a short story"

This is an intriguing short about a journalist named Kurt who can hear peoples thoughts as they happen. As he was about to go on air with his Co-Anchor however, he had the clearest message yet ... "We're all going to die"

This absolutely startles him leaving him running away from the camera, out of shot, away from his co-workers, and in desperate search of the person whose head it came from. After finding the 17 year old's head across the road, amidst a parade crowd, they end up in a chase as it is revealed that both can hear others thoughts.

In the brief time that we have with Kurt and this tale, it is a fast paced rush of emotion and surprise.

McLachlan does well to bring us this adventure, and a surprise ending
